George A. Nardone was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He received a B.A. degree in political science from Providence College in 1962 and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1965. Nardone served as a member of the Rhode Island State Senate from 1967 to 1968. He was an unsuccessful candidate for mayor of Providence in 1974. From 1993 to 1994, he served on the Providence Board of Canvassers. Nardone was also Chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education from 2003 to 2008.read less
