Fred Girod is a Republican member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 9. Girod was first elected to the chamber in 2008. He has a background in forestry and previously served on the Lyons City Council. Girod is the co-owner and co-founder of Holley Logging Company. He is the president of the Oregon Logging Conference Board and is a member of Associated Oregon Loggers. Girod is also a member of the Lyons Rural Fire Protection District Board.
