Elaine S. Bowers is a Republican member of the Michigan Senate, representing District 38. She was first elected to the chamber in 2014. Bowers earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University before going on to receive a JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to being elected, Bowers worked in private practice as an attorney specializing in family law, probate law, estate planning, and adoption law in St. Johns, Michigan for over 20 years.
