Donald J. Ardell was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and Asian studies from the University of Tampa, a master's degree in philosophy from Brown University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Florida. Ardell was an academic for over 30 years, as a tenured professor teaching courses in the philosophy of wellness, critical thinking, ethics, and Asian studies. He has authored over a dozen books and hundreds of articles on wellness, wellbeing, and positive health.read less
