Derek M. Slap is a candidate for Governor of Connecticut. He was born in Hartford and graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy at Princeton. Slap worked under Mayor Eddie Perez of Hartford and U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal. He served as Chief of Staff for the Connecticut State Senate Democrats.
