Debra D. Gardner is running for the Illinois House of Representatives District 37. She has served on the Waukegan City Council since 2013. Gardner is a lifelong resident of Waukegan. She attended the College of Lake County and graduated from Roosevelt University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After college, Gardner worked in accounting and finance. She is involved with several community organizations including the Waukegan Kiwanis and the Waukegan Chamber of Commerce. If elected, Gardner says she will focus on bringing more jobs, improving education, and reducing crime.read less
