Daryl L. Porter is a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 6. He was elected to the chamber in 2020. Porter is a former chief executive officer of Converse College. He previously worked as a vice president at several other colleges in South Carolina, including Limestone College and Spartanburg Community College. Porter holds a B.A. in psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Ph.D. in counseling and student personnel services from the University of Georgia. His doctoral dissertation was titled "Chief student affairs officers' perceptions of their status in southern colleges and universities."read less
