Darryl Ervin Rouson was born on February 28, 1959 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He received his B.A. degree in 1981 from the University of Florida, his J.D. degree in 1984 from the Florida State University College of Law, and became a member of the Florida Bar in 1984. Rouson was in private legal practice as trial attorney and civil rights lawyer from 1984 to 2008. He served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012. Rouson was elected to the Florida State Senate in 2012 and currently serves Senate District 19.read less
