Daniel T. Kildee was born August 11, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. He earned his B.A. degree from Central Michigan University in 1980 and taught at Flint Central High School from 1982 to 1984. In 1984, Kildee was elected Genesee County Treasurer and was re-elected four times before being elected to represent Michigan's 5th congressional district in 2012. Kildee serves on the House Committees on Financial Services and Budget. He has been a strong advocate for the vehicle city of Flint throughout the water contamination crisis that began in 2014.read less
