Craig P. Johnson is a former Mayor and Councilman of Long Beach, California. He was first elected to the Long Beach City Council in 1994 and served until 2006. In 2006, Johnson was elected Mayor of Long Beach. As Mayor, Johnson promoted education initiatives, worked to strengthen the local economy and create jobs, and made public safety a top priority. He served two terms as Mayor until 2014. Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy and Administration from California State University, Long Beach and did post-graduate work in Healthcare Administration at the University of Southern California.
