Craig P. Blair was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He graduated from Martinsburg High School before earning a B.S. degree in finance from Shepherd College (now Shepherd University) in 1990. After college, Blair founded an insurance and financial services firm based in Martinsburg where he still works as an agent. His family owns a cattle farm operation headquartered in Gerrardstown.
