Charles Ruppe Smith was born in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and later moved to Fridley, Minnesota where he graduated from high school. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he studied agricultural business and was active with the College Republicans. After graduation, he returned to Fridley to work with his family's small business. Smith serves on the board of directors for the Spring Lake Park Lions and is an active parishioner at St. William's Catholic Church. He has three children with his wife, Jennifer.read less
