Charlene M. Lima was born in Cranston, Rhode Island. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Rhode Island College. In 1998, Lima was first elected as a member of the Cranston City Council. She has also served as Deputy Director of Administration for the City of Cranston. Lima serves as the Majority Whip in the Rhode Island Senate, representing District 14. She is also a member of the Senate Committee on Finance.read less
