Blaine Luetkemeyer was born on May 7, 1952. He earned a Bachelor's degree in political science from Lincoln University in 1973 and later attended Drake University School of Banking. Luetkemeyer served as Bank Examiner and Bank Regulator for the State of Missouri from 1985 to 1999. In 2001, Luetkemeyer won a special election to serve as State Representative for the 115th district. He was reelected to a full term in 2002. In 2004, Luetkemeyer was elected to the Missouri Senate to represent District 12. Blaine Luetkemeyer served in the Senate until 2009 when he was elected U.S. Representative for Missouri's 9th congressional district.read less
