Anthony H. Palumbo is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 2 since 2013. Palumbo is a graduate of St. John's University. After working for many years in the banking and finance sector in New York City, he returned to Long Island to build a law practice with his father in Smithtown. Palumbo's work in the state assembly includes sponsoring legislation to tackle Long Island's opioid crisis, strengthen penalties for the theft of catalytic converters, curb stormwater pollution into vulnerable waterways, and to authorize state tax credits for parents adopting a child.
