Andrew S. Murr is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 53. He was first elected to the chamber in 2006. Murr currently serves as the chair of the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism. He also sits on the House Committee on Energy Resources and the House Committee on Land and Resource Management. Previously, he served on the Sunset Advisory Commission and was chair of the House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs. Outside the legislature, Murr has worked as a rancher. He is a member of the Kimble County Goat Raisers Association, Kerr County Farm Bureau, and Schreiner University Advisory Council.read less
