Amy Morrin Bello serves as State Representative of New Mexico's District 28. Prior to her election, she was a member of the Albuquerque Teacher Federation. She taught at Taft Middle School, and later at Eldorado High School. Bello sponsored legislation to provide free school meals to all students during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also helped secure $60 million for grants to expand broadband access across rural New Mexico. In 2022, Bello introduced legislation to give New Mexico public schools more tools to address the teacher shortage.read less
