Amy B. Arata serves as an associate justice of the California Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division One. She was appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2019. Prior to her appointment, Arata worked as a partner at Artiano Shinoff, where she represented public entities. Arata earned her B.A. from San Diego State University in 1987. She received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990.read less
