Alex Schnall was born and raised in New York. He attended public schools in Brooklyn and later went on to New York University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in economics. After college, Alex worked in the financial sector before deciding to go to law school. He graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2016. During law school, Alex was involved with housing advocacy groups and provided pro bono legal services. After passing the bar exam, Alex worked as a housing attorney advocating on behalf of low-income tenants facing eviction. Seeing the effects of unjust evictions and the lack of affordable housing motivated Alex to run for office in order to enact systemic change.read less
